Purpose: This seminar is designed to introduce interested companies to the new law and regulations related to enforcement. Presentators will include the NC Commissioner of Insurance Wayne Goodwin, Departmental staff, Legislators instrumental in passage of the legislation, initial Leadership of the NCCIA and others.

Objective: To acquaint companies and individuals with the advantages of Captive Insurance Companies and why the companies should be domiciled in the State of North Carolina.

  • The 2nd Annual NCCIA Conference will be held August 24-26 at the Ballantyne Hotel and Resort in Charlotte. There will be enhancements to both the program and social activities according to Thomas Adams, NCCIA President and CEO. Click here for story.
  • NCCIA concluded its “extremely successful” 1st Annual Conference on August 26th in Charlotte according to Alex Webb, the Associations Board Chair” click here for story.
  • The technical corrections bill to the 2013 Captive Insurance Act introduced in May by Rep Linda Johnson has passed the general Assembly according to Thomas L Adams, President & CEO of NCCIA. Adams said “Nccia is pleased that the legislature moved this bill during the short session.” We expect these changes will bring additional captives and redoms to North Carolina by keeping the NC Captive Act as state of the art.
